Avery has been coding HTML, CSS and JavaScript since 1999. He is a web pioneer, and has deployed software for The U.S. White House, The Travel Channel, The U.S. Small Business Administration and The Smithsonian, to name a small few.

Avery graduated in 2003 with a degree in graphic design from UMBC and have been using those skills to visually communicate art for commerce ever since. The grid, typography, word, image, scale, color theory, branding, and logo design are all tools in my arsenal to signal clear messages to mass audiences. Melalogic is a chief example of how Avery enjoys combining his design skills with his programming capabilities.

Avery loves the immersive nature of fabrics and clothing, and knows his way around a sewing machine.

Avery is thrilled to work with his hands and has been assembling bespoke roller skates since 2021. He has since expanded to create customized parts, such as the clear quad skate heels and the opaque quad skate heels.

Avery’s earliest memories of creativity are of him drawing Godzilla, and his grandfather adding “motion lines”. You may see a drawing posted, or marker art, from time-to-time on his Instagram stories.

Avery grew up around film and video, and in 2009 created the comedy short, Hopes and Schemes. He has since taken naturally to YouTube.

Words encode and decode thought. Avery has written many articles, from his spiritual beliefs, all the way to published research by the American Medical Association on Dermatology and Healthcare Disparities in Machine Learning. He also used to rap (who didn’t) and writes poetry from time-to-time.
